I am utterly delighted to announce that Wallace and Grommit's new film by the brilliant Aardman Animations studio is completely based on true events. This picture is actual documented proof of giant were-rabbits living among us. His name is Herman.Herman is my new favorite desktop background at work. When I start my computer up in the morning and the whooshing Windows sound comes up, so does Herman in all his furry-footed glory. It makes me happy. I shared this image with friends and family via email, but I'm not sure that everyone got the same warm fuzzies as I did upon seeing this beastial wonder.
During the day I can't help but muse about the world of Herman the German Giant Bunny. I've daydreamed that he's an avid sportfisherman, and always throws back any fish he catches (hello, he's an herbivore). He abhors pickles (like me!) and likes to use tiny gherkins as footballs to flick at other rabbits. Herman's a mac user simply because he thinks apples are far tastier than windows. He gets a real kick going to county fairs and laughing at the 4H Club's prized Angoras. Well, that and he has a secret fondness for corndogs (no, not the frank, just the greasy cornbread smothered in zesty mustard. Mmmm, mustard). He can wax poetic on the rise and fall of the Russian Czars, so long as he's wearing his reading glasses to be sure he's quoting his sources properly. He often has a fine coating of shmutz on his upper lip from eating too quickly (but he pays it no mind, and I don't either). With a casual sniff of his great whiskered nose, he'll deem if you're friend or foe. And a friend is most certainly what you want to be to this big hearted rabbit.
At least that's what he's told me so far...can't wait to see what he's up to tomorrow!

I love that rabbit, he is actually my desktop picture as well. I have that picture and the other one that they were using for publicity.
I greatly enjoy your personification of this fine rabbit. He is particularly loveable and cute.
That is the coolest animal ever!
